Good morning Jasperites we have received almost 24+ inches of snow easily in past 24 hours. This will be the 1st time we have called Cooleys to plow. This snowfall should put us nearing 9 feet of snow since the September snowfall. FSR 250 from pavement was snowpacked except Ranger Hill, and most sideouts were not touched last few snowfalls plus all the willows narrowing the road and creating huge ruts only to get worse as it was already in bad shape. Will post some more pictures later today.
Hey Jasperites More snow fell over night at about 3". It rained all day Sunday thru sunday night leaving everything a muddy mess. Our driveway is closed....no offense to anyone but the mud is really bad and if we dont let it freeze up or dry out, we will have nothing left of it. Big wind storm last week left many more trees toppled. Fortunately only one garage was slighty damaged and the owners have been notified. We dont have enough snow for snowmobiling but we are over 5' of snow since September so the moisture content is there! Back by popular demand.... Dude's Road report: FSR 250 remains wet muddy most of the way up from Terrace reservoir...Just past Alamosa campground expect slushy to snowpacked in shady spots...Lots of pot holes! All roads Green, Red, BOPR and yellow gate roads are wet muddy but passable as of this morning.
Currently in Jasper we have over a foot of fresh today with temps hanging around freezing. Snow off and on all day so far with another 3-5" expected....Roads are wet muddy and partially snow covered in spots. Ranger hill is clear but wet...the Narrows are slushy in spots. Colder temps this evening will cause roads to freeze. Safe travels The Caretakers
