Hey all, hope this finds you well on this beautiful sunny and warmer day here in Jasper. Today is expected in the higher 40's and sunny after yesterday's 59° and sunny weather. Little rain in forecast tomorrow mixed with snow but after that temps are forecasted to be near 50° and sunny next 8 days out. I use a NOAA based weather app. Take in the elevation as well as location. We have had around 13 feet of snow this season thus far.
The gated and non gated roads are messy as the Mud Season is approaching. Red and Green gate @250 is 100% rocky and muddy. Yellow, Blue and BOP is heavier deeper snow still. We have had alot of thaw happening and pools are forming on roads. The piled snow @Yellow Gate is still keeping from trying to drive down 250 past Jasper. Had a few drivers attempt but have seriously failed. No gated roads are really accessible except for Red and Green.
Lastly the phones have been down for 2 weeks now due to dead batteries, again. UNACCEPTABLE. CenturyLink might be replacing entire outside plant system up here if that happens SERVICE will be down for 4-5 weeks. So try our cell phones if need us. I am interested in talking with those who are impacted by this issue. Most likely will be getting rid of our phone number sooner than later. We have internet and will be getting a Google number or like instead of the world having our cell numbers.
Road report says 250 on Platoro side is full of deep snow and will prolly be terrible again in spring as usual. Our side is snowy and slushy above Terrace and nice long stretches of no snow exist to make journey nice. Seriously though from Skyline is ok with a serious muddy spot in Hoodoos. Been muddy during day and icy at night. Overall it is nice for now before muddy season.
Been some activity up here few new property owners up here and few lots being sold with cabins plans popping up.
Cleanup continues this spring from storms over the fall.
