Is anyone else with a Landline experiencing phantom rings every morning? Almost every morning our phone will just do these little "half rings" periodically. Sometimes they as re one right after another then at times a few minutes between rings. If you pick up it is just a dial tone. Usually doesn't occur in the afternoon. The phone works as normal making and receiving calls.

Thanks! Guess it isn't just our line. I know the day after the last snow in May the phone was out and occasionally did ghe phantom ring thing. Later that day we got a visit from the Sheriff's dept. to enquire about us, seems th hey got a 911 call from our phone that we didn't make!
We too have Viasat internet and love being able to use our mobile phones. We just wanted the Landline so we could be reached when the internet is off. Now that we have solar power it is usually on all day.
Cheers!

Yes, our lines have all been very problematic. When it rains, the phone is dead, 100% guaranteed until a few hours later presumably when it dries out. We have been experiencing the chirpy, glitchy ringing usually in the mornings.
We have installed Viasat Exede for satellite internet and our mobile phones work great with Wi-Fi calling. It's not always on but works great when it is so we're thinking really hard about canceling the land line. Kind of a bummer considering we've had it for almost 20 years but the quality of the service has become really poor. Understandably, there's a lot of old, corroded, damaged and broken lines in the woods so the system is difficult to maintain.
