Well November is upon us again. Jerry and Kevin back for another season of caretaking. We are off to a wintery start with 5 feet of snow already as of the 6th of September when a freak 28" fell snapping hundreds of Aspen trees around the community. It looked like a war zone around here...several neighbors kicked in and got most of the roads cleared pretty quickly. All home owners were extremely lucky as no cabins were known to have been damaged. Here are the snow totals to date including this morning September 6th & 7th combined 28" October 25th & 26th 18" November 7th 8th & 9th 13" and still snowing We have installed a 130ft hose running from the spring well box up to the road for people who need water but dont want to drive down the the hill. You will still need to take a pump. Hose diameter is 5/8" by 130feet. New "SLOW" signs have been installed in old town Jasper to help quill the "need for speed" mentality some of our non-neighbors like to exhibit....New speed limit signs coming in the Spring. Friendly reminder...we dont usually call for snow removal until about 18" so feel free to call us for a road check before you come up.

Hello everyone Jerry Kevin and Dude here from Jasper. Hope everyone had a safe wonderful holiday season. Just a quick observation while making rounds around the cabins, I notice heavy snow load accumulations collecting on decks, patios, porches, solar panels, garages, roofs, ect... We have had quite a bit of snow since October and we are seeing a lot of roof's sliding. Obviously this is no news to cabin owners but the weight of these snow loads and ice slides can do severe damage to the structural integrity of the decking and supports. If this is a concern to you the home owners Please give Kevin a call here at the cabin 719-852-8846. He can go take a look at your cabin, take a few photo's and let you decide if there should be action taken. thank you all,

Good morning It's 26゚ on this Christmas morning with light snow and gusting winds but clear blue skies to the West. Overnight accumulations were in the 1 to 2" range depending upon where you are in town... They say there is a chance for an additional 3 to 5" today. We have groomed trails going up blow out pass to the base of the pass.. Blue gate also has a nice groomed trail going up to the end of the road... Red gate has a nice trail up to Judd street and green gate is plowed. Yellow gate is groomed by snowmobile. Dude's Road Report FSR 250 is mostly dry with a trace of new up to Terrace Resevoir then turns to plowed but snow packed the rest of the way up to Jasper.
Merry Christmas and happy holidays from Jasper!!! content media
