We are thinking of putting a wood floor in our cabin and wondered if anyone had any trouble with buckling or splitting of wood floor with the extreme temperatures. We are looking at a hickory or oak floor. Anyone put laminate down. Any help would be appreciated. We are closing on our cabin in one week. Really excited to experience the Jasper unique lifestyle. |

I've got 3/4" solid hickory and it's lovely. Let it breath for a month at altitude before you nail it down and it will be fine. |

We installed a red oak floor in our cabin and love it. We also install for others and have a good, inexpensive source for wood. I'd be happy to give you a quote. Please call me at 512.461.9211 if you would like to discuss or just look at our floor. I can send pictures as well. |
